I had this game installed and it worked like normal on windows 7 even in compatability modes. After upgrading I am no longer able to launch the game.
It seemed to initialize the start up and then never lauched. I then uninstalled it and now I get error 1628 saying there was an error and it was unable to finish installing when I try to re-install it and it no longer lauches the installer when I insert the disc it says there is an error so I have to lauch the installation manually from the disc itself. I would hope that someone has a remedy for this and other old games that have problems with windows 10.
I own the white label JPOG and it requires the disk to physically be in the PC. But here is a safe torrent for the game that does not require a CD. Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis No CD Cracks. Crack for Version 1.0 ENG Return to the No CD Cracks for PC Games Section.
Hi, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. We regret the inconvenience caused to you. This seems to be an issue with compatibility on Windows 10.
I suggest you to install the game in compatibility mode on Windows 10 and check. Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode.
Right click on the game installation file and select Properties then click the Compatibility tab. Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box. Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then click OK.
Try installing the game and check. Hope it helps. I'm having the same issue as the original poster. I followed the steps you provided. I'll explain, I made sure the game was completely uninstalled, I went into the disc files and right clicked the 'Setup' icon and clicked Troubleshoot Compatability. The troubleshoot program automattically set the install setup to windows XP operating system.

It installed quickly as normal but after asking if I wanted a desktop icon, an error message popped up; 1628: Failed to complete operation. I've tried this on all available operating systems provided by the compatability troubleshoot and it provides the same answer once finished installing. Is there anything else you can suggest? I have a nephew that plays this game and I would feel horrible if he could not play it.
